My first CR-V! 2025 Sport-L

Just brought it home yesterday! Before getting this CR-V, the newest car my wife and I had was a 2014 Mazda3. We’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the tech and features, but we’re really impressed with how easy everything is to use. Any tips or tricks for new owners that I should know about?

One of the features I really love is the traffic assist mode. If you are driving on a highway in traffic, set your cruise control and desired speed. Your car will automatically match the speed of the car in front of you. That’s not a completely new concept, but the part I love is that in stop and go traffic, it will slow your car down to 1-2mph, and even completely stop for you. To resume, you just tap the accelerator or the “resume” (cruise control) button, and the vehicle will begin following the car again, all the way up to the speed you originally set.

Also, I think yours might also have key fob 1 and 2. Fobs 1 and 2 correspond to the position settings of the driver’s seat. So I have fob 1, when I get in and start the car, the seat will automatically adjust to where I had it. When my wife gets in with fob 2 and she starts the car, the seat adjusts to her settings. Just a neat little thing, kinda cool.

I believe this feature (slowing to 1-2mph and stopping) is only available on the Touring. The rest of the models have cruise control that disengages completely under 25mph, I think. It doesn’t stop and resume for you.

Nice color choice! I have the same color in the EX-L trim. Wish I got the Sport or the Sport Touring. :frowning: Great car nevertheless, hope you enjoy it!

Best color! I got a ST last week in the same color. I’ve been spending time going through the user manual to learn all of the new tech myself and I suggest starting there. Enjoy!

Edit: spelling.

I have that exact car, but a '24. It’s been great so far. I added a hitch for my bike rack, roof bars for my ski racks and tub, rubber floor liners, and tinted the driver and passenger door windows. When I first had it, I noticed that the hood seemed to wobble/shake a lot at freeway speeds. I adjusted the hood bumpers to be more snug, which has helped a lot. I really like using B gear for the snow and coming down the mountains here in Colorado.

Congratulations! This YouTube channel is very helpful with learning more about the tech. I used it for research in determining if I wanted to get the CR-V. I hope it helps! https://youtube.com/@crazyhondachris-h18?si=weMEY7AQlDSFcnts

I’m going to buy the exact same model or Sport Touring in the same color. My Mazda CX-5 engine got messed up at 41k miles, so time to move on. I heard good stories about how this newer CR-V drives, and going to test drive this weekend.
