I upgraded the dash with a sturdy wireless charger that automatically clamps my phone, which has been a game-changer after struggling to find a reliable mount for this car. I also installed a hitch with a brake light hookup and turn signals for an e-bike rack. Additionally, I added WeatherTech all-weather mats, replaced the poor stock wipers with Bosch Aero ones, and installed the A229 front and rear dash cam.
The dash cam is fantastic, with voice controls, essential features, and a helpful notification that confirms it’s recording every time you start the car, ensuring the SD card is working properly. Let me know if you’d like links to any of these—just PM me

Any reason you use a phone mount instead of CarPlay/Android Auto?
I like to have Waze on full screen on the Android Auto screen and control my Spotify/YouTube Music on full screen on the phone. I use a revanced version of YouTube Music and XManager version of Spotify so I don’t have to deal with any ads and basically get premium for each app.

I use CarPlay but still wish I had a phone holder for quick things I need on my phone so I don’t have to look down while driving. I wish there were more options for them.

I’m about to get a phone mount. The CarPlay/Android Auto is finicky. There are random times the connection will just drop, a few times right before a turn I need on the GPS.

That’s valid. I can’t stand wireless CarPlay because of those reasons. I only seem to have issues with wired CarPlay when my cable gets worn out. Bought a new cable and have had no issues so far.

I have noticed no matter what cable I use, the cable deteriorates (and this isn’t just Honda). I’ve had my 2023 since launch and I’ve gone through 3 different cables. My theory is there’s something wrong with voltage distribution for the specs of CarPlay/Auto.
@Teo
Probably. I’ve also noticed weird sounds, like glitchy sounds intermittently when music is playing with CarPlay. That I haven’t noticed in my work trucks’ CarPlay.
