Hey everyone, I’m beyond excited because I just ordered my first ever new car – the 2025 Hybrid Touring! I’m picking it up soon, and I want to make sure I’ve got everything covered before driving it off the lot.
I’ve heard some cars coming from the Indiana plant might have a few things missed or misinstalled, so I’m hoping to avoid any surprises. What should I double-check or be on the lookout for when I pick it up? Anything you guys have experienced or heard about? Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the new ride! I’d say start with a full walk-around inspection. Look for any scratches, dings, or uneven panel gaps. Check that all the lights and electronics work (headlights, indicators, etc.). Also, make sure the tires have proper air pressure!

Big one: make sure you test the infotainment system. Sometimes the software can be glitchy, or the maps aren’t updated. Wouldn’t hurt to connect your phone and see if Bluetooth/CarPlay works smoothly.

Don’t forget to ask about any accessories or features you ordered! I’ve heard stories of people missing their cargo mats or roof rails. Check your paperwork to make sure everything’s included.

Check the fluid levels, even though it’s a new car. Sometimes they ship low on oil or coolant. Also, give the brakes a quick feel when you do your test drive—if they feel off, mention it right away.

I’d suggest taking the car for a short test drive before signing anything. Listen for any odd noises, especially rattles. Better to catch it before you drive away than after!
