Hey folks, I’m curious about Radiant Red cars. They look super flashy and cool when brand new, but do you think they’ll start to look dated or fade after a few years? How does the color hold up over time?
And I’ve heard mixed things about red cars getting pulled over more often. Is there any truth to that?
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with owning a red car!
Had a red car for 7 years and it didn’t fade much, but I always kept it waxed and garaged. I think if you’re not careful with red, it can show wear faster, especially if it’s exposed to the sun a lot. But, man, when it’s clean, it’s the best looking color IMO!
Red cars definitely get noticed more! Whether that’s good or bad depends on your taste. I got pulled over twice in my red coupe in the first year. Didn’t help that I was speeding both times tho . But as for longevity, I think it holds up well if you take care of it.
Not sure about the ‘timeless’ thing, but I feel like Radiant Red has a classic vibe that won’t feel super dated in the future. Might not be trendy, but it’ll always stand out in a good way. And yeah, I’ve heard the rumor about red cars getting more tickets – could be true, but depends how you drive lol.
I had a red SUV for 10 years and it didn’t fade too bad. I think modern paints are better at resisting UV damage. If you’re worried about it aging, just make sure you keep up with waxing and avoid parking in direct sun all the time.
Honestly, red cars are . Yeah, it might fade a little after a decade, but that’s true for most colors. You just gotta keep it clean and protected. And as for cops, I’ve had a red car for a few years now, no issues with being pulled over (but I also drive pretty chill).
I think Radiant Red will always look good, even with a bit of wear. It’s a color that ages well if you ask me. Just stay on top of the maintenance and it’ll still turn heads years down the line.
Thanks for the input, everyone! Seems like Radiant Red holds up better than I thought as long as I take care of it. Good to know about the speeding tickets – guess I better drive responsibly if I don’t wanna test that theory
