I’ve got a stuck bolt on my back seat, and it’s driving me crazy. Any suggestions on how to get it out?
Have you tried using an impact wrench? That might loosen it up.
An impact wrench could do the job, but if it doesn’t work, you might need to drill it out. In my experience with seat bolts (particularly on Fords and Chevys), they’re always incredibly tight—like a real battle to get them off. It’s often because these threads are designed to bind tightly so they won’t come loose.

Thanks for the reply! What do you mean by needing to drill it? I’m not very experienced with this.

If the bolt head gets rounded off, there are techniques to drill into it and extract it. But if you’re unsure about it, I recommend getting help from someone who knows what to do.
You could also try a bolt extractor kit. It cuts into the bolt’s head and grips onto the stripped part.
Did you attempt to use a screwdriver for it?
Can I ask why you’re removing it? Are you trying to access the fuel pump or something? Just curious.
I faced a similar issue with my rear differential drain bolt, and an extractor kit worked wonders.
You can also try hammering on a socket that’s slightly undersized to fit over the bolt, then use an impact wrench. Impact should be your second tool, after trying a wrench and socket.
Look up ‘bolt extractor kit’ for more info.
I can’t tell if you’ve tried using sockets or not.
Keep at it with the pliers! If you stay persistent, you’ll eventually get it out.
