Driving to work and I park, as soon as the engine starts to idle it makes some of the worst sounds imaginable and then this happens. Kinda at a loss of what to do.
Right as soon as you hit 10k miles too. That sucks.

Dude, I don’t know what the fuck I’m supposed to do about this, my primary dealer checked it last Friday and said I was “good to go” and that the issue wasn’t there. My thing is, can I still drive the car?
@Yule
I’d call the dealer if I were you and ask them for further instructions. If the dealership is far, then most likely you’ll have to tow it.

It’s only like 15 miles or so.
@Yule
When mine threw the error, limp mode made it drivable to get to the dealer (~20 miles away). They didn’t seem to believe that damage was going to occur with that amount of driving, but didn’t advise continuing to drive. Your mileage may vary, ask your dealer for their recommendation, etc.
@Yule
Ask your dealer, not some random person on Reddit.
It tells you what to do. Bring it to the dealer. It’s under warranty.
Edit: If you weren’t happy with your dealer, you can go to another one.

Well yeah, of course, but can I drive it to the dealer or get it towed?
@Yule
Call the dealer service area.
@Yule
Engine on means safe to drive (though maybe reduced power); flashing means get it towed or you risk damaging the engine.
UPDATE 1: called dealer, have had to drive my car since then and the error has cleared out since it happened. Told them the issue and they said they have parts for the fuel pump (god I hope that isn’t the issue) for cars on their lot and they can repurpose it for my vehicle if that’s the case, but I need to bring it in to get it looked at.
@Yule
It’ll be fine. Get a timeframe, let them know you need a loaner. I just hope it’s not snowing near you and they loan you a Civic.
Off topic, but I’ve always found that half digital display to be kinda odd. Why couldn’t it just be fully digital?

One of the many examples of Honda being cheap AF with the North American CR-V. Other markets have a full digital gauge + other popular features that are available on competitors in NA. It’s 2024, I can get a full digital gauge on the new Civic or Accord, but not a $40k+ CR-V Sport Touring? Shame on Honda.
@Eren
And not having a TPMS system that can show you the actual tire pressure. Couldn’t believe it after I bought our 2024 CR-V that it has a TPMS system from the 2000s that relies on one tire turning slower than the others to alert you that there might be a problem. Every car I’ve owned in the last 15 years shows me the PSI in every tire, except this one.
@Keenan
They saved that for the luxury brand Acura.

Toyota Corolla shows the pressure in all tires… I initially thought I just couldn’t find this feature on my CR-V. Really disappointed!
@Keenan
And no warning about the washer fluid being low? And while I’m at it, what’s the deal with the washer fluid only washing the left side of the window on the 2024?
