The CX-50 Hybrid didn’t exist when I bought my CR-V Hybrid. There were severe shortages when I got my car. Honda managed to get cars onto the lots, unlike many others. The 2026 RAV4 is coming, and competition will increase.
@Arlen
I expect the 2026 RAV4 hybrid will be hard to get at MSRP for a while. Otherwise, I’d think about waiting.
My CR-V was built almost thirty years ago. The CX-50 wasn’t around back then.
Look, the Mazda CX-50 hybrid isn’t really a Mazda; it’s a RAV4. Comparing the RAV4 and the Honda makes more sense.
The RAV4 has major issues like cable corrosion.

Only the powertrain is a RAV4 design. Engine noise and powertrain-related matters may seem similar, but the overall design and tuning of both the exterior and suspension can differ greatly.
