Hey everyone, I’m a new CRV owner and I want to make sure I’m taking good care of my car. I’ve been trying to figure out which brand or type of coolant is best for my 2024 CRV. The owner’s manual recommends something specific, but I’m not sure which one to get. I really don’t want to mess anything up. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Welcome to the CRV family! For your 2024 CRV, it’s best to stick with Honda’s OEM Type 2 coolant. It’s what the manufacturer recommends and ensures that your car’s cooling system runs smoothly. You can usually find it at the dealership or online…Have fun with your CRV
Congrats on the new CRV! I’ve been using Prestone’s Asian Vehicles coolant in my Honda, and it’s been awesome. It’s perfect for Honda engines and super easy to find at most auto parts stores.
Definitely go with the Honda Type 2 coolant. It’s a bit pricier, but it’s worth it for peace of mind. Some aftermarket coolants might be okay, but sticking with the OEM stuff is the safest bet, especially since you’re still getting familiar with your car…Congratulations btw…This awesome… l
First of all…congrats on your new crv…Now for your question…If you’re ever in doubt, your local Honda dealership can help you out. They can sell you the right coolant, and they’re always happy to answer questions like this. Better safe than sorry!
I use Zerex Asian Vehicle coolant in my 2024 CRV. It’s a great alternative to the Honda Type 2 and meets the same specifications. Works like a charm, and I’ve never had any problems with it.
I believe congratulations are in order
