Wonder if it somehow got mph and km/h mixed up. 100km/h is about 60mph.

Either 5 miles under the posted speed limit or 35 over, either way. Some splaning to dooo.

It happened on mine after it saw a road sign for the highway I was on (rt 100).

It doesn’t work that way. AFAIK, it picks up images of speed signs or other signage and displays it on the dash.
Yeah that function (showing posted local limits) is terrible.
Mine often says 110 as I take route 110 intermittently. Every time I have a good laugh about it.
This is one of my fave features actually. I miss lots of speed limit signs for some reason.
There is no road in the United States that has a speed limit of 100mph. The fastest one is in Texas with a speed limit of 85mph.
I saw it display 85 once, but I was in a 55 zone and 70 is the highest speed limit in my state.
My car said 100 in a 35mph once. My wife said No…
I have one specific spot on my commute with no signs of any kind visible where it inexplicably tells me it’s 50.
Mine has done this a couple of times too… it’s not 100km either!
Sadly my CR-V doesn’t have this. But my Google Maps will tell you what the speed limit is on any given road you’re on while driving with the assistance on.
I actually got a ticket for this. I accelerated up to 40mph (cop said 43) cos my dash showed 40 max, as did the sign up ahead. Cop said not only was I still in the 25 zone, but that it was 20 because of school (Thanksgiving week, no school). So of course I hired a traffic lawyer because fuck that. But I didn’t mention the CR-V!
