So, is there really no way to open the trunk when the car’s on?
I have a 2022 model and for the life of me, I can’t figure it out. Seems kinda dumb if that’s actually the case. Anyone else had this issue or am I missing something?
Yeah, that’s a safety thing in most newer cars. They don’t want you driving with the trunk open by mistake. Kinda annoying though!
I had the same issue! You gotta put the car in park before the trunk will open. They lock it for safety reasons when you’re in drive or reverse. Hope that helps!
Totally normal! My '22 CR-V is the same way. At first, I thought something was wrong with my car too. It’s just a safety feature like others mentioned.
Yep, manufacturers do that to prevent accidents or things flying out if the trunk pops open while moving. Just gotta shift to park or turn the car off. A bit of a pain sometimes, I agree.
I thought it was weird too when I got mine. Took me a while to figure it out. But like others said, park the car or turn it off, and you’re good.
