Just got a 2025 CRV EX-L last week. Is it weird that the windshield wiper doesn’t go all the way to the edge of the window? It leaves a pretty wide strip of unwiped window

Combined with the wiper blade fluid lines and lack of windshield fluid sensor in the US, this car was clearly not designed for those of us in snowy climates.

Devil’s advocate: I tend to avoid wanting sensors in vehicles because my husband and I like to keep our cars for as long as possible. He has an old Navigator, and the only issues we have with it are with creature comfort sensors failing—those are incredibly annoying when they go out!

I can definitely see why some would be more important in climates that differ from mine, though.

@Corey
For this particular sensor, it can be pretty poor timing if you’re in the middle of a snow storm and all the sudden the fluid runs out. You make a good point, but I actually see this as a safety feature.

@Corey
Ford products having sensor issues? No way.

It’s actually a Lincoln.

/s just in case. I’ve heard that argument so many times about Lincoln’s :joy:.

Yes! The line of debris it leaves is so annoying. One of the few gripes I have with my CR-V, especially living in the PNW where it’s always raining.

No I think yours is extra. Mine (2025 LX) leaves about 3 inches unwiped but the spot is parallel to the windshield post. Not that big V formation that yours has. :scream:

ETA. Correct trim type.

PSA: Tap the wash fluid button quickly a few times and it will spray some fluid without moving the wipers. This makes it easier to clean, imo.

Not only that but the wiper fluid dispenser is so terrible and the blades leave streaks all over the place.

Replace the blades. A decent set won’t streak.

Mine does the same thing.

Yes it drives me nuts.

Yes. They are terribly designed.

I wonder if the wiper arm is positioned too far down as it’s resting position. Try unbolting it and rotating in a few degrees up and see how much better it is.

Yeah I guess all CRVs have this feature.

The lines are close and parallel to the window on my 2022.

Oh yeah on the pic is way wider than on my 22. Didn’t notice the upper part.

Yep a huge miss. I bought a 2025 also and was like what the eff.

My '25 is the same. Really disappointed with the bad design and low quality.

Should have stayed with Toyota.

Yes! I can’t remember noticing it when we bought our 2024 last year since we don’t get too much rain, but I noticed it after I got my windshield replaced (rock/crack) and I thought that maybe the Safelite tech didn’t align something correctly when reinstalling. I was planning to ask the dealership about it during my next oil change.

Just have the dealership adjust it.
