My parent just Bought a 2025 Sport Hybrid 2WD under the Clean Cars for All program in Bay Area, CA for about $30k OTD. Here is the breakdown of the cost

If you can wait until next year, there will be many great deals on Honda vehicles. They’ve got some trouble with engine recalls and are backlogged with vehicles.

What’s happening with their engines? Also, after this year, you can only buy plug-in hybrids or EVs through the program.

US regulators are investigating whether engines on 1.4 million Hondas might fail

Thanks. I just checked the VIN for the recall. Looks like I’m good so far.

Amazing price! You’re lucky it’s not AWD since you don’t need it in California. Arizona and Texas are the only states where AWD isn’t essential.

Looks like a nice program, but to live in the Bay Area, you need to shell out over $1 million for a tiny house.

Cool! Good for them, but it’s also another example of the government giving money to people who can already afford cars.

I don’t understand this. I thought all internal combustion engines were banned in California by 2025??

It’s actually 2035.

Wimps. If they cared about the environment, they’d ban all ICE now. This is clearly just a wealth redistribution scam.

That’s a great deal getting $2000 off MSRP! Just a note, though… OTD prices don’t include trade-in value. In this case, it’s $37k OTD, which is the total price before cash downs, trade-ins, etc.
