Hey everyone! I just picked up an 07 CR-V and realized it doesn’t have an engine block heater. With winter coming up, I want to install one ASAP. Any tips on where to put it? Thanks!
Hey! Installing it is pretty straightforward. You’ll find the block heater port near the engine block. Just look for a freeze plug on the driver’s side. It’s a bit tight in there, but you can do it!
I recommend watching some YouTube videos! There are a few great tutorials that show exactly where to install it. It’s not too hard once you see how it’s done!
You might want to get a friend to help out! It’s a little tricky getting everything lined up. Just be patient, and it’ll be worth it when your engine starts up smoothly in the cold!
Make sure to use a good sealant when you install it. Otherwise, you might end up with leaks. If you’re unsure, asking a local mechanic can save you time!
Definitely a good idea to install one before winter hits! I found mine for a decent price online. If you need help sourcing the part, let me know!
