Preparing My 2025 CR-V Hybrid for Automatic Car Washes—Any Tips?

Hey everyone, I just got a 2025 CR-V Hybrid Touring and was wondering if there’s a car wash mode or any special steps I need to take before going into an automatic car wash. Any advice would be appreciated!

No official car wash mode on the CR-V, but make sure to disable the collision mitigation system and lane-keeping assist. Otherwise, the sensors might go haywire inside the wash. Also, don’t forget to fold in the mirrors!

I always put my CR-V in neutral and turn off the engine start/stop function before entering the wash. Keeps everything running smoothly. Congrats on the new ride

One tip—if you’re going to a touchless wash, make sure your fuel door is securely closed. I’ve heard some horror stories of water getting in and causing issues with hybrids. Enjoy your clean car!

I just took my new 2025 car through the car wash and had the same problem. The proximity sensors were going crazy, but the brakes didn’t kick in. I found a button on the left side of the dash to silence the beeping.

My old Honda Odyssey had a button to turn off the proximity sensors completely, but I can’t find that option on the CRV

Man, I wish I’d seen this before taking my car to the car wash! It was a total rollercoaster. My car was beeping and flashing like crazy, and I was freaking out the whole time.
