On the new CR-V models in Canada and the US, I noticed the driver’s instrument display is half digital with an analog speedometer. How does the speed display switch between mph and km/h on these newer models?
I’ve got a 2019 Touring with the fully digital cluster, so it’s super easy to change. Just curious how it works on the latest models!
From what I know, the newer CR-Vs should automatically switch between mph and km/h depending on your location. If you’re crossing the border or using GPS, it’ll adjust for you, but I’m not 100% sure how the analog speedo reacts. The digital display should show both units though!
I have a 2023 CR-V, and yeah, it shows both units on the digital part. The analog speedometer stays in mph (or km/h if you’re in Canada), but there’s no button to switch it manually like the old fully digital ones
On my US 2024 model, it’s automatic like others mentioned. You’ll see mph primarily but can change the smaller digital display to show km/h in the settings if you need to
just recently crossed into Canada with my 2022 CR-V, and it auto-switched to km/h on the digital display. The analog stays in mph, so you get both readings
If you need km/h in the US, you can toggle it in the settings menu. The analog speedo won’t change, but the digital part will show the conversion. Hope that helps!
