Tips for Better MPG on My Hybrid?

Hey y’all! I just got my Sport L Hybrid two weeks ago, and I’m loving it so far! That being said, I’m looking for any advice on how to boost my MPG. Right now, I’m getting about 30.5, but I do drive through a lot of hills and inclines on my commute. Any tips or tricks from fellow hybrid owners would be awesome!

Congrats on the new hybrid! :red_car: For hills, I’ve found that using the regenerative braking as much as possible helps. Try to coast downhill and let the battery recharge a bit. It won’t make a huge difference but every bit helps!

Hey, I’ve got the same model! What’s worked for me is driving in Eco mode whenever possible. It tones down the acceleration a bit, but the fuel savings are worth it, especially with hills involved!

Awesome ride! For better MPG, I’d say keep an eye on your tire pressure—lower pressure can hurt fuel efficiency, especially with a lot of inclines. Also, don’t forget to keep the car light by clearing out unnecessary stuff from your trunk.

I feel you on those inclines! One trick I’ve learned is to maintain a steady speed on the hills, rather than speeding up and slowing down. Smooth acceleration and braking can do wonders for fuel economy.

Welcome to the hybrid club! If you don’t already, try using the ‘B’ mode for engine braking on steep hills. It helps save gas and also protects your brakes from too much wear.
