@Penn
Same, but this is the car I originally wanted. The only thing I truly envy is the pillows.
06 is the fabulous year. No AC junk.

My 03 unfortunately had AC junk. Wish it wasn’t so; broke my heart each of the 4 times my AC has gone out in the past 5 years… TX heat is no joke lol.
@Vero
IL here. 7th summer without heat for me. I had an 04 & have an 02 currently. Both had the “Black Death” or whatever it was. Hoping to get one of the facelift years next. The best body style all around. Hate that they’re so limited.
@Toby
I’ve also heard you can route around the AC compressor with a shorter belt to just cut it out altogether, but I’m not too knowledgeable on that (so glad I have mechanic friends!). I might see if that’s an option and just run it until the wheels fall off so I can exclusively drive my turbo 2021 CX-5 I just replaced it with .
I bought my 2005 CR-V from my daughter so she could have cash for a newer car. My thought was I would then resell it to recoup. However, it quickly became my daily driver, and I even take it on 2000+ mile road trips. I loved driving it and sold my other two newer vehicles. I don’t need anything else.
I have a 2016 I bought about five months ago after my divorce. It is the best damn car I have ever owned in my entire life. I will never go back to anything that is not a Honda CR-V!!!

I thought the same thing, but the new ones seem to be having a lot of problems. I’m gonna wait and see how that plays out.
The white ones are so aesthetic!! Wish I could paint mine .

I completely agree with the white. The only thing that I don’t care for is the light brown interior. I had a black on black. Didn’t care for the exterior black, but the interior color was nice.
I would love to find a manual transmission one . By far the best CR-V generation ever.
Damn yours is clean as hell! I bought my '05 for $4K back in 2017. It was previously owned by parents of younger kids, so it’d take a LOT of effort to get mine back to looking new like yours does. Congrats on continuing to take good care of it!!!
And yes, it’s the best car ever. Fuel economy isn’t amazing on mine, but it’s still cheaper than a car note. Purchased at 140K miles, and I think I’m currently north of 205K. I just drove it 800 miles for Thanksgiving. The only reasons it’s ever needed work have been maintenance or expected wear. .
@Darian
I think an older couple owned it before me! And I do not have kids, so I’m sure if I did, she’d be a little messier hahaha.
Yes I agree. I just got a SE 2006 CR-V in gold color about 4 months ago. My Civic got wrecked by a repair shop, so I needed a car.
I love it. The MPG here in NYC is not as good as my Civic hybrid.
I have the exact same car lol.
I am waiting to jump on my SO’s dad’s 2003 whenever they bump down to one car (newer CR-V post 2020). I think it hit 100K miles a year or so ago.
I have a 25-mile commute to work, willing to put some beaters through those miles every week.
Same idea with another family member’s Corolla. Willing to buy both for a good price and run 'em even further.
SMH just wrecked mine.
We bought an '05 and I drove it until 2012 when we upgraded. The main reason for letting it go was improved safety features on the newer models, and it made my wife feel better for me to be driving something safer. The '05 was a great car, as was our '12, which we had for 13 years – gave it up this past summer, but I’m sure it has lots of miles left. We currently have a '14, '21, and '25.
My sister’s got like 17 MPG, but it was a fantastic car otherwise.
